Jamie is known and respected across the industry for his positive, unfaltering can-do attitude. He is recognised nationally for delivering landmark, award-winning projects. He has led our work with the BBC, including the new regional centre in Digbeth and the reimagining of London Broadcasting House, and delivered Here & Now — the UK’s first refurbishment to achieve both BREEAM Outstanding and Fitwel 3*, as well as whole-life net zero carbon. He also led Farmiloe, a testament to challenging convention and maximising potential. He is currently leading the repositioning of Broad Quay House, a project pioneering carbon-sensitive commercial workplace design, alongside large-scale residential regeneration and placemaking-led projects such as Barr’s Street in Bristol.

Jamie joined AWW 20 years ago and has played a key role in its evolution and growth, something he intends to continue to champion as our new Practice Director. As Mark hands over the reins to Jamie, he says:

Jamie’s drive stems from the diversity of his portfolio. He embraces the fact that each project brings unique design challenges and opportunities. In response, both he and his designs challenge convention. From initial concept through to delivery, Jamie pushes boundaries and inspires his teams to do the same, always with the ambition to exceed expectations. His passion for design shapes his leadership, fostering teams that remain loyal and inspired. Jamie’s approach to leadership reflects everything that AWW stands for; our status as an EOT, our strong ESG credentials, and the culture of positivity and trust at our core. Jamie notes:

Alongside Jamie, Charles Jordan will step into the role of Operations Director, working in partnership to support AWW’s business operations. Having worked side by side for the past 20 years, they form a natural leadership team. AWW recently celebrated our 50th anniversary. Looking ahead, Jamie is focused on building on the strong foundations AWW has established. He believes there is significant opportunity to expand further across both sectors and regions.
