Introduction

AWW is appointed to the Foundation Trust Consultant’s Framework, undertaking all architectural services across the capital works programme. The framework is established to optimise efficiency, achieving value for money through standardisation, improved quality and lifecycle performance.

As an integral part of our role on the framework AWW contribute to the strategy group which meets quarterly to review and set Trust wide objectives to utilise the estate more efficiently identifying opportunities for cost savings, revenue opportunities and disposal of surplus estate.

AWW is currently delivering a portfolio of estate improvements projects that range across; gender separation, anti-ligature upgrades, care home expansion, ward refurbishment, review of seclusion accommodation and service relocations.

At Langley Green Hospital we have worked with the local care team to complete a full refurbishment of all bedrooms including social drinks hubs in the existing patient lounges and providing new sensory rooms to all wards. We have also developed a new build de-escalation facility.

Meridian Ward EMSA compliance works at Millview Hospital include new bathroom and bedroom facilities within the live environment of an older adults inpatient ward.

The design process felt very collaborative and clinical colleagues enjoyed the process. The atmosphere of of the ward was much improved following the project."
